I will be playing catch up on pics and uploading crochet projects once we get back to Ga but right now just giving a brief update.
Our trip to NC is going well overall. J is doing great with the potty training even though we're away from home and the grandparents two bathrooms are far apart and often occupied. All the kids have had lots of fun with their great grandparents and E loved meeting her name sake (her middle name comes from Hubby's grandma).
For New Years Eve the kids got to stay up and we had lots of fun counting down together after some little fireworks outside. We also called my mom and wished her a Happy New Years too. The kids can't wait to see her again in 2011.
Unfortunately there was a little issue last night after the kids went to bed when my MIL and I had a conversation that wasn't the pleasantest but I'm hoping was just misunderstood, then today we had one down point when Great grandpa gave C a peanut butter cup (she's allergic to nuts) but with lots of pauses and prayer we got through it all and got to spend lots of wonderful warm time making new wonderful memories with hubby's extended family.
I'd still appreciate prayers for C to make sure she is okay (she only had a tiny amount of swelling at the time that has gone down since so hopefully it wasn't in reaction to the peanut in the candy) and for me for peace, understanding, and tolerance so I can focus on making the most of the rest of our time here.
Overall even with the stressful moments all is going well and I am glad we made the trip here. And I am so thankful we got to welcome in the new year surrounding by love! As the ball dropped and I shared hugs and kisses with my husband and each of my amazing blessings I was once again reminded how blessed we've been the last year and continue to be. I teared up a bit holding E close as the year turned from 2010 to 2011 thinking of the journey her and I have been through this year and thinking also of my 2007 and 2008 babies and all we've been through in the years following their births. I am so excited to see what the future holds as each of my little ones learn and grow and as my amazing husband, my soul mate, and I continue our lives together. I'm sure 2011 will be another wonderful adventure with many more great memories with my many blessings!
