And when we left the kids were giving goodbye hugs (they didn't want to leave) and this moment when they gave Great Grandpa a double hug was just so sweetAnd one more of J giving an extra hug

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we celebrated with hubby's grandparents, mother (Ibu), younger sis (who the kids call Aunt Rere), and extended family in Brevard, NC. I usually dread the trip up through the windy mountain roads and was very worried about all the kids in our first longer car trip since K's arrival. I was pleasantly surprised though and Daddy decided to be sweet and take the long flatter way on the highways (took almost an hour longer than usual but so much better for all of us). And I'm really glad we made the trip.

Brevard was gorgeous. The temperatures during the day were perfect for playing outside and the nights were just chilly enough to need light jackets.

Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful as always with good food and great company. C, J, and E warmed up to everyone pretty quickly this trip and remembered some people more this time around since our last trip. The especially loved playing with their second cousins who are 5 and 8. During dinner we got to see a few relatives who couldn't make the meal through the Iphone video calls. It was all pretty perfect (other than the family members we didn't get to see of course, though I know they were enjoying their own feasts with other loved ones), and C and J enjoyed the meal so much they ate more than hubby and I.

The kids also had lots of fun with Aunt Linda's two dogs Snuggles and Sassy, who were also visiting. The kids and pups all lined up at the doors to the back deck to watch the squirrels together many times. E was even petting the dogs (one of which who is bigger than her) soon, though when she first saw them she wouldn't approach them but just stand as far away as she could while laughing at them and squealing with delight. J told me he wished he had a dog like that big dog (aka Snuggles, the standard poodle) and that C had a dog like the little one (aka Sassy, a rat terrier). I so was impressed by how the kids and dogs got along that I could definitely see his wish coming true in the future. I got lots of cute pics I will add soon of this.

I also got some great pics introducing little K to the family. She surprised them how fast she's grown already and everyone was smitten with our newest baby princess. There's always something so sweet about seeing the kids' great grandparents holding a baby, both the contrast of age and youth, along with the reminder of my own grandparents who passed before I had kids. It's simply beautiful as you can see in the pictures.

Overall we had a great trip and the kids hugged everyone so tight before we left Saturday (we left a little early to beat the traffic). C and J were protesting leaving but we promised we'd come back again soon. I want to keep that promise for sure. Hopefully wellness, weather, and work will all go in our favor to make that possible.

Now we have to get ready for birthdays (mine and Ibu's) and then Christmas of course! December is going to be a busy exciting month. I'll try and update and catch up as I can.

Happy 1 month K

(Above pic is our baby princess sleeping at today's appointment

I can't believe it's already been a month and K seems to be rushing to try and catch and catch up to her big siblings, in size and achievements. She's holding her head up a lot, wants to be "in the action" to watch what everyone is doing, trying out some early sounds/beginning baby talk, and trying to roll from side to side. And as of today's appointment she's a bit over E's 2 month stats: weighing 13lbs 15 3/4oz (close enough let's say 14 :P) and 23inches long (an inch since birth). The doctors are surprised but impressed and said she's consistently just meant to be bigger and taller for now, seems she's taking after Daddy's side with similar stats to him so far.

Despite how "big" she is already C and J are still in awe of how tiny their baby sis is and along with E are constantly asking to give her kisses and hugs. E is also even more ready for K to be able to play with her, though they both have a couple more months to wait yet. K is perfect and even though my fourth she's still surprising and amazing me. Thank you God so much for all my wonderful healthy happy babies, my amazing husband and co-pilot, and our incredible family. We are so blessed and this past month has been such a reminder of that once again :)

14 Months of Miss E!

I've been busy learning this whole juggling four kids and haven't been as good at keeping up with E's accomplishments on the blog (mainly because it feels like she's saying so much more, doing so much more, and overall blowing us away on her smarts and growth every day), but I had to note the day and share a few pics of my beautiful, smart, troublemaker, Bunny baby, who LOOOOOOVES the camera and decided her and Mommy needed a photo shoot today. She will hand me the camera and say "Cheeeeeese!" then laugh at herself after in the view finder. She'll also start performing "If you're happy and you know it" and is working on getting the ABC song to show off to us. She loves to dance and sing.

Yep this amazing baby girl is becoming an incredible fun loving little girl, and a great "little big sister" to boot. I love you Eva and can't wait to see what you're going to surprise us with tomorrow.

More Sisterly Love: C & E

Though K is getting a bit more attention as everyone gets to know her there's definitely some strong bonds still being forged and reinforced between each of my babies and their siblings these past few weeks. This is how I found C and E the past couple days watching movies together :)

E Getting to know K

E loves K and the kissing, hugging, and snuggling to show her that seems to be increasing daily. Good thing K is pretty patient with big sister for now :P

The Little Things

I am thankful every day for the little things that mean so much, the things we take for granted, the things that change so fast, and all the things that are so very precious.

Today I was reminded of all this just in looking at K's precious toes. 2 and a half weeks ago after she emerged from the water in Daddy's and my hands we counted those precious fingers and toes. She's still precious and perfect, though she's grown and changed so much already.

As a parent I see little miracles and reminders of how many incredible blessings God has bestowed on us every day.

And there's something so incredible about baby fingers and toes.

K's little precious toes
And continued from the previous post, another reminder of the little things. When the kids were all snuggling this is how their hands ended up on their own. From bottom to top there's C's, J's, E's, and K's (yep even in order :P)

Snuggling x4

C and J decided to camp out on our bedroom floor last night. E and K fell asleep snuggling on the bed so we moved them down for a quick pic. I definitely adore the snuggle/sleeping pics, and I love these incredible beautiful babies more and more with each passing day. Thank you Lord once again for my blessings!

Nap time with Mommy

Today at nap time E and K ended up asleep on me. Such a precious moment and as you can see similar to many moments with C and J a couple years ago. I am so blessed to have these beautiful moments. Excuse the sleepy Mommy though, since it's very tempting these days to sometimes try and sneak a nap with these beautiful sleeping sweethearts :)

Thankful

So it's November (crazy I know) and with Thanksgiving right around the corner we are all reminded of how much we have to be thankful for. On facebook this has started the trend of many status updates daily of people giving thanks.

Now I'm not one for the update trends or for posting statuses that often, but I do like the general sentiment (as I see it remembering our blessings and thanking God for them). I am so blessed with so many things to be thankful for I plan to in turn share about some in a few posts here, during this month in particular.

It works out well for me that this is the fourth day of the month since this post is actually about four things I'm so very thankful for: my four incredible children.

I am so blessed to be mommy to C, J, E, and K. Each one is so different and amazing in his and her own way. Even little K who will be 2 weeks old tomorrow is already showing us once again what a miracle each child is as they grow and show us more of the person they are destined to be. Motherhood is such a huge responsibility and such a reward in turn. Every day, even the most stressful ones, I am thankful for these four blessings God has entrusted in my care for my husband and I to guide, teach, and help them become the best people they can be.

I can't express how thankful I am for the gift of being a mother to my four :)

Sweet Sleepy Moment of the Day

Yes I have similar pics like this of C and J but now it's E and K's turn to join in the sweetness. This is how E decided she wanted to take her nap today. Considering she usually just falls asleep wherever she feels like mid-play the fact she wanted the bed was a feat in itself, being next to her baby sis though was just amazing. I love these moments. And as a friend so perfectly put it "There's so much love in our home."
