Storm Scares

Last night we had a rough night though thankfully it was much better than expected.

A huge thunderstorm front came in from the West. There were tornado warnings and several fronts of storms predicted throughout the day. Ami (my mom) was still visiting which helped us because I wasn't worrying about her in North Ga and I had extra help calming the kids and I while hubby was stuck at school.

We were missed by the worst of the storms thank God but hearing the weather reports on tv all night long and seeing the devastation the storms left in Alabama and our neighboring counties, we definitely were taking the systems seriously.

I put the kids mattresses in our hallway and we all camped out. Hubby about gave me a heart attack when he decided to drive home after the power went out at school, but once again we were blessed and he made it home safely.

This morning if you look outside here there's little signs of the storm but unfortunately our northern and western neighbors weren't as lucky. Sending many prayers to those across the South who we know and those we've never met who've lost their loved ones and homes in the past day. We are definitely reminded once again how blessed we are and that God is watching over us.

This April has been horrible weather wise, as the news anchors have mentioned often. Hopefully May will be a lot easier and bring a calm from the storms.
