Ok we really aren't a NFL family, we're a GT family yes, we love to play sports yes (hubby especially) but when it comes to watching sports we pretty much just watch GT games and the Super Bowl and World Series (occasionally). And even though we really didn't have any invested interest in the game I decided it would still be a fun excuse for some extra yummies and family time Super Bowl Sunday.So I made crock pot BBQ pulled pork (cooked with root beer, it was soooo good), cheese chip dip with salsa and ground turkey, potato salad, and cookie cake decorated for the occasion. Everything was awesome and the kids loved cheering on the teams (though they pretty much choose sides based on which team was wearing a color they liked it worked lol), dancing during the half time show, and just having an extra excuse to act like the day was a holiday.
