My beautiful, amazing, sweet E is 17 months, so *gulp* 1 month shy of a a year and a half. And at this age it would be easier to list what she's not into/doing/saying than what she is, since the achievements, learning, and fun challenges are coming so fast and often these days. Today she surprised us by climbing out of her crib, getting out of her room (opening the door), coming to our room, climbing into our bed, and all with a onesie on (still buttoned) but her diaper removed, little Houdini. E is so smart, sweet, and helpful right now, though she does have the testing moments where she'll use the dramatics to see if she can get her way a little more (though we're pros at dealing with this stage now). Luckily the sweet moments are still outnumbering the tougher ones. I love this little girl E is becoming and can't wait to see more of her fun, spunky, silly, sweet personality coming through over the years to come.
At 17 months E:
-loves to help Mommy load and unload the dryer, and get diapers and wipes for K
- still loves to kiss and snuggle "her baby" K, who E now has started referring to as ReRe (which is what Daddy called his baby sis so this is particularly sweet for us)
-will say anything and everything she hears and her vocabulary, lots of sentences, but still has the shy streak where she decides if she wants to let people know how much she knows.
-can count a little and say most of the ABC song
-still loves to sing and is adding more songs from everywhere
-prefers eating with utensils and favors her left hand but can still use both
-will say the prayer (the parts she knows) and ask for more of the food items she prefers at dinner (and point where she wants them on her plate lol)
-still loves drawing, my little artist
-has 14 teeth (soon to be 16) the 2 eye teeth just popped (and were the first teething experience to make her a bit cranky) and the lower canines are close (in addition to the 8 front teeth and 4 molars)
-still loves dress up and tries to dress others up (mainly her big and little siblings)
-loves to climb (in and out of her crib and up on Daddy's desk). She seems to think the top of Daddy's plastic office drawers is her seat.
-loves reading books (having them read to her) with everyone and will pretend to read to K
-thinks she can do anything and pretty much can it seems some days
-still loves following/chasing and playing with the big sibs
-is amazing and still amazing us every day, definitely a unique individual and still challenging us (even though she's #3 E is definitely still teaching us as parents) and rewarding us every day
-is such an incredible blessing
